The essential elements of character building and ethics in youth sports are embodied in the concept of sportsmanship. I therefore pledge to accept responsibility for my MTX Bandits experience by following this Player’s Code of Conduct.

• I will exhibit sportsmanship and fair play at every practice and game. I will also encourage this behavior from other teammates and coaches.

• I will make every reasonable effort to attend all practices and games, and I will notify my coach if I cannot attend a practice or game.

• I understand that playing time is determined by my attendance, attitude, and performance at practices.

• I will treat other players, coaches, officials, spectators, and parents with respect regardless of race, sex, or ability, and I will expect to be treated accordingly.

• I will encourage my parents to be involved with my team in some capacity because it is important to me.

• I understand that I am representing the MTX Bandits Youth Sports Organization. Poor behavior during practices or games may result in loss of playing time or expulsion from the team.

• I will not engage in physical or verbal confrontations with players, coaches, officials, spectators, or parents before, during, or after practices or games.

• I will refrain from the use of foul or offensive language.

• I will come to practices and games with a positive attitude, ready to listen, watch, and learn from my coaches.

• I will understand the rules of the game and play within them.

• I will play the game safely and follow the rules to prevent injuries to myself and others. I will not engage in reckless or harmful behavior.

• I will be gracious in victory and dignified in defeat.

• I will show gratitude to my coaches, parents, and supporters for their dedication and encouragement.

• I will take care of any MTX Bandits provided equipment issued to me.

• I will always bring all my sports equipment to practices and games, unless instructed otherwise by the coach.

• I will return any issued MTX Bandits equipment by the specified return date.

• I also agree that if I fail to abide by the aforementioned rules and guidelines, I will be subject to action that could include, but may not be limited to the following:

1. Verbal warning by Official, Head Coach, or President

2. Player game/practice suspension

3. Player season suspension (no refund)
