The essential elements of character building and ethics in youth sports are embodied in the concept of sportsmanship. Children often do more of what they see as opposed to what we as parents say. I therefore pledge to accept responsibility for my and my child’s MTX Bandits experience by following this Parental Code of Conduct.

  • I (and my guest(s)) will show respect to the coaching staff, volunteers, officials, MTX Bandits parents, and opposing team parents.

  • I (and my guest(s)) will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice, or other MTX Bandits event.

  • I (and my guest(s)) will not use foul language or verbally abuse players, coaches, officials, or spectators.

  • I will inform the coaches of any physical disability or ailment that may affect the safety of my child or the safety of others.

  • I (and my guest(s)) will not encourage any behavior or practices that would endanger the health and well-being of any players, coaches, officials, or spectators.

  • I (and my guest(s)) will ensure my child shows respect to everyone regardless of race, creed, color, gender, or ability.

  • I (and my guest(s)) will not heckle any coach during practices or games.

  • I (and my guest(s)) will allow the coaching staff to determine individual playing time and position for each player.

  • I (and my guest(s)) will refrain from coaching my child or others during practices or games.

  • I (and my guest(s)) will demand a sports environment for my child that is free from all weapons, drugs, tobacco, and alcohol and will refrain from their use before/during all events, practices, and games.

  • I (and my guest(s)) will comply with boundaries set by the MTX Bandits staff at practices and games.

  • I (and my guest(s)) will not confront coaching staff during games and will schedule an agreed upon time to voice any concerns.

  • I (and my guest(s)) will never fight or encourage fighting at any MTX Bandits event.

  • I also agree that if I (or my guest(s)) fail to abide by the aforementioned rules and guidelines, I will be subject to action that could include, but may not be limited to the following:

    1. Verbal warning by Official, Head Coach, or President

    2. Player game/practice suspension

    3. Player season suspension (no refund)
